Drone Safety

In addition to saving lives and preventing injuries on our roadways, the Transportation Improvement Association (TIA) is committed to ensuring drone operators fly safely.  According to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), there are now more registered drone operators in the United States than there are registered manned aircraft.

know-before-you-flyTIA encourages drone operators to visit the Know Before You Fly website.  Know Before You Fly is an education campaign founded by the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) and the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) in partnership with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to educate prospective users about the safe and responsible operation of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS).
