Traffic Crash Analysis Tool

The Transportation Improvement Association’s (TIA) Traffic Crash Analysis Tool (TCAT) is a comprehensive, web-based traffic crash analysis program designed for the detailed study of traffic crashes at any location within the state of Michigan.

The following is a summary of a few reports that are available on TCAT (click each link to view a sample report):

  • Intersection Crash Report: Summary data of each crash at a user-selected intersection with the ability to create a collision diagram and mapping of these crashes. The user has the ability to produce reports based on extensive filtering of specific crash data. A bulk download of the UD-10 crash reports is also available for this search.
  • Link Crash Report: Summary data of each traffic crash on a user-selected road segment with the ability to map these crashes. The user has the ability to produce reports based on extensive filtering of specific crash data. A bulk download of the UD-10 crash reports is also available for this search.
  • Statistics Report: Summary data of each traffic crash within a selected county, or community within any county. The user has the ability to produce reports based on extensive filtering of specific crash data.
  • Intersection Ranking Report: Ranking report of intersections within a selected county or community within any county. The user has the ability to produce reports based on extensive filtering of specific crash data.
